Loading... Please wait...Before my daughter was born, I sewed up a stash of these cozy oversized flannel receiving blankets. Four years later we are still using these regularly. When she was small, we used them to cozy her flailing limbs to sleep in a gentle swaddle. They absorbed drips, dribbles and more than one sick tummy incident. They served as nursing covers, car seat covers, and car seat protectors - and even as a nekky baby coverup (who knew she'd pee through her only spare diaper and all over her clothes while I changed her on one of our first trips to the grocery store - we were only leaving the house for 20 minutes!).
Today she still cuddles under her flannel baby blankets on cool summer evenings or chilly morning car trips. They fold up small but offer endless possibilities. Oh, they also get used for princess dress-up and for table cloths when she and her cousins play restaurant. We only sell flannel baby blankets made by me. They are high-quality flannel and measure about 42 inches square before washing. Compare that to the 28 or 32 inches standard receiving blanket size and you'll see why these are so much nicer!
